All this week at Clay County Schools, students will be
showing their pride in being drug and alcohol free. By
planning wacky and fun ways to show their pride, students will
have a great way to celebrate their healthy lifestyles. Thank

100 Strong Induction a big success
On November 4th, students and their parents gathered at the
Hayesville School's Auditorium to pledge to be drug, alcohol
and tobacco free. Over a two hundred Middle School and High
School students have made the pledge, with many more students
taking the pledge every day. Dr. Gail Criss, principal of the
High School, was the keynote speaker. Senator John Snow also
spoke, telling the students of the dangers of drugs. Dawn
Wilde and Mary Cothren both spoke about the Drug Coalition's
involvement in the community, and the statistics of drug use
in Clay
County.
